bar vegandale 4/5

Bar Vegandale This meal brings tears of joy to our eyes. Bar Vegandale, previously Doomie's, delights with the ultimate vegan fast food in the city and probably country. This is no exaggeration! The most satisfying meal that brings with it only one negative.... the impossibility to not overeat! The Big V is a spin on your traditional Big Mac from McDonald's except 100x better and BIGGER! The fries... wow those animal fries are ridiculous. We have no words other than .... omg. We are vegan most of the time and this really takes the cake for vegan foodie experiences. Whenever you're craving a hearty meal, this is definitely it.The worst thing is that we waited so long to go back. We haven't had the Big V since 2017. Please take a visit to Bar Vegandale in Parkdale, Toronto. Queen West. You can find them on several delivery food apps and they also do walk-ins until the pandemic permits in-house dining.

sweet po vegan 5/5

Sweet Po a wonderful vegan delight inside the Toronto World Food Market! We hope they are doing well throughout the winter. Support your local food vendors and give them a try. We're very happy with the food they gave us. We got a vegan box and these medallion type potato latkes, which were so good! Really fresh food. Love love love it.

fresh restaurant 5/5

We've been going to Fresh for years and it has to be our favourite vegan spot in the city.

It all started with the beloved green poutine. That dish really got us hooked. The food is really FRESH, delicious and extremely healthy. One of the only places in the city with a robust vegan AND gluten free menu - you cannot go wrong here.

If you're going here for the first time, some trademark items are:

- Green Poutine

- Quinoa Onion Rings

- Dragon Fries

- Buddha Bowl

- Beach Bowl

- Squash Tacos

And DEFINITELY indulge in the hot and spicy peanut sauce. Since the pandemic hit, we greatly miss going into the restaurant for the experience followed by a walk through the U of T campus. We plan on doing a video review of this spot soon. Stay tuned.

RIPTIDE BEACH PUB 5/5

Riptide Beach pub is a new addition to the beaches community. It's newly renovated with a fresh by the beach vibe. The staff are wonderful and extremely polite. There is a wide selection of wine and craft beer. The food is top notch in taste and presentation. The prices are very reasonable too. I highly recommend this place for all occasions, and don't leave without trying the Polynesian style wings; they are amazingšŸ¤¤

HOGTOWN SMOKE 4/5

Kitchen Sink Stack Our trip to Hogtown Smoke was half curiosity and half hunger. We'd been passing this spot several times during the Summer and were hearing many good things from patrons of the Beaches community in East Toronto. Being one of their now three locations, we were excited to take a detour from frequent vegan eats and go full carnivore at this relatively famous Toronto BBQ joint.

We asked the waitress to order for us and out she brought a few pounds of their smoked wings and their famous and curiously named Kitchen Sink Stack. It was unlike anything we ever had - a dish inspired by poutines and burritos, a hybrid really. A colossal mass of perfectly done fries, baked beans, cheese, coleslaw, sour cream and hot sauce. All made carnivore with the most perfectly smoked pork you could ever imagine. The Kitchen Sink Stack is a hangover cure, cheat meal extraordinaire that leaves poutine and burrito lovers alike satiated.

HONEY SOUL FOOD 5/5

Honey Soul Food A new and exciting place to fill your appetite and experience something different. There arenā€™t many soul food restaurants in the GTA, so when we found Honey Soul Food, we were very excited! Upon entering the establishment, the aroma hits instantly. The ambiance is warm and inviting, which will make for a wholesome dine-in experience. The staff are friendly and polite; both hallmarks for great customer service. The menu items are very diverse consisting of a mix of soul food classics like cornbread, Mac and Cheese, and chicken wings. There are many unique and tasty creations like the Big Kahuna Burger (there are vegetarian options for this too)!

We highly suggest the Big Kahuna Burger, the Sweet Jerk Chicken Wings, and the Loaded Fries with Caijun Shrimp.
